SHARE memorable days ...

After so many rounds of checking on the availability date from all the SHARE volunteers since early this year and finally this date - today 16th September 2017 set as SHARE 20th anniversary celebration, phews! 😓😂

Then, we'd decided to organise a 2D1N stay-cation in D'Kranji Farm Resort Singapore. A few senior volunteers were volunteered to racee this place and update the rest of us with more information.

After months of awaiting, today - 16th September, 

we have arrived at Kranji Farm Resort! ✌💝

Before the resort check-in time 1pm (as arranged), we played cards first. Played card next to chair lady is very lucky... get penalized!!! 😭😅By noon we go for our sumptuous lunch pre-ordered from the resort vegetarian restaurant.

Once checked-in we unpacked our belongings. Played a few round of cards while awaiting for other volunteers coming over to resort in later evening. 

Later, we visited to a few attraction spots - Bollywood Veggies, Fish Farm then Herbal Farm run by uncle Tan (草药达人) within the resort area.

Some highlights:-  

Via a speech given by Foo, whose has initiated this SHARE program 2 decades ago, we realized that the SHARE 20 years of journey is not an easy one. This especially for volunteers whom only joined SHARE in later years we might not know the SHARE history. SHARE would not have survived until today and still carry on with mission, this all must credited to those pioneer SHARE volunteers such as SF & SK! This is because without their persistence, their passion about SHARE, this program might have stopped in an early years... 👍👏💪

The next day - 17th September, after the morning walk we all heading back for breakfast meal as included in our resort package. Then, we back to resort for shower and pack up own belongings before the check-out time at 12pm.

WE are happy to know our beneficiary LP finally settled in her new house with great helps from Mr Poh for transportation and logistic matters. Yesterday evening a few volunteers were visited to her new house. Wendy whose is a hairdresser gave LP a free hair cut! Thanks to her contribution. Meanwhile, Catherine and Candice were helped with simple household chores! Well done, folks!

It's indeed a great place to stay in ...windy and nice view ...

We have volunteer camp each year. Many senior volunteers will be attending. Many are not able to come for regular services due to various reasons such as work commitment. It's indeed a precious moment to have get-together annually. This is because WE are CARE!

Apart of voluntary service, 

WE do arranged bonding session with volunteers.

Yeah! SHARE Volunteers are ROCK!

WE attended volunteer's wedding banquets, baby showers and birthday events. Many of those couples were met during the voluntary service! They do render their helping hands as and when required despite of their busy schedules. Kudos to THEM.

We arranged outing for SHARE beneficiaries especially for those family with kids. 

Once upon a time, WE do have home visit from all SN volunteers.

WE are seeing the changed of our SHARE beneficiaries' kids! Some are already working while studying on part-time basis. One is awaiting to enter the University with his good results. WE are PROUD of their achievements!

Share Volunteers Dinner Gathering On 19th June 2009

We have had a great time at Ling Zhi restaurant! After finished our dinner we went to TCC to have a couple of drinks. Many photos that took by Candice has accidentally been deleted thus only left with these 2 precious one...sigh! Anyway, we will arrange more meet up and gathering in coming months. Look out for that in SN Website ya ^_^

After visiting one of Share beneficiary in TTSH we were heading to Novena Square for our dinner at LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant.

These were the dishes that we had chose and it served with brown rice ...Yummy! Yummy!
